They had a huge mushroom with lights that responded to sound. I absolutely loved it and someone, during the night, asked me if it was my mushroom, which inspired this painting.

It's down the street from Harkness State Park and the Eugene O'Neal Theater. O'Neal's own younger brother was once hospitalized here for tuberculosis, rumor has it. Seaside recently became a state park. On my last trip in 2018, there was construction work going on.
